About

Website

Tech-Reviews.co.uk was launched back in September 2007 with one goal: to provide a simple, quality site for technical reviews. Our focus point for products is computer components and peripherals; however we would like to expand our expertise to reviewing just about anything that shouts the word ‘tech’.

Often in computer hardware reviews very high-end components are used, this is where Tech-Reviews.co.uk is different. We try to use components that the average user would have, this enables us to give a much fairer verdict on a product.

However, Tech-Reviews.co.uk isn’t just about reviews. We also like to show off our expertise by writing tutorials, tips and articles on anything decent that we think will help someone. Staying in with the latest tech today isn’t an easy task, which is why we also have frequently updated technical news on the homepage and a dedicated RSS feed which can be subscribed to.

Tech-Reviews.co.uk publishes content that is suited to people of all ages. We try our best to write everything in an informal way which is suited to people of all ages and abilities. This means that you don’t need to understand all the jargon to understand one of our reviews/articles.

Tech-Reviews.co.uk does not aim to be the biggest review site on the net. That’s right. It’s not because we don’t challenge ourselves enough, but because our aim is to provide trustworthy, unbiased, well written reviews without losing the common touch.

Tech-Reviews.co.uk allows anyone to contribute to the site. If you would like to write an article for the site, submit news or even allow us to review a product that you offer then please get in touch by contacting us at: rhys[at]tech-reviews.co.uk

History

When Tech-Reviews.co.uk was launched back in September 2007 the website was powered by Joomla Content Management System and used a theme downloaded from the web to create the site. After getting fed up with not being able to customize the site how we would like it to be, we gave up and ditched Joomla.

The site was then moved to a basic HTML site which Rhys hand coded. However this basic html site was only temporary while Rhys got to grips with Wordpress, customized it and added all the content again. The site is still powered by Wordpress and we are currently designing | coding a custom theme which the site will use to give it that ‘unique’ factor.

CoolIT Domino i5 Testing

Xigmatek Dragoon and Cuirassier Memory Heat Spreaders

Memory cooling is one of those things that most people leave untouched. There may be several reasons for this: the foremost being that the stock heat spreaders on most memory modules will be sufficient for most user’s needs. But occasionally, there will of course be users who need to push their memory to the limit – particularly overclockers and gaming enthusiasts.
