This keyboard is designed to be the economy model for gamers. About a year ago we reviewed the Sidewinder X6 and now we will check out its little brother. Unlike other Microsoft gaming products this keyword is entirely designed by the folks at Redmond. The Microsoft Sidewinder X4 looks like a basic keyboard with the addition of media and macro keys. The Sidewinder X4 is missing some knobs and buttons found on its bigger brother the X6 but should still has plenty of features to hold its own.”

Today for review I’ve got the Acer Aspire AS5738PG-6306 Notebook that features a nice large 15.6” touch screen with a resolution of 1366×768. Inside you’ll find a Core2Duo T6600 CPU along with an ATI 4570 graphics card and it’s also got 4 gigs of DDR2 ram. You’ll also find a very nice set of Dolby virtual surround sound speakers that round this notebook off nicely as a portable media centric laptop. The main feature of course is the touch screen and I absolutely love it, it makes using the computer so much easier and a lot more fun. Included is TouchPortal which is essentially a second desktop that is specifically designed for the touch screen putting all of your media and more literally right at your fingertips. So read on… ”

“Thank you NZXT for sending me the Sentry II fan controller. Fan controllers have always held a little soft spot in my book. I started modding my computer more years ago than I can remember. Back before you could even find a case with a window or in any color other than beige I don’t think you could even buy windows at first. One thing I always wanted to do was build a fan controller. At that time I only remember Sunbeam as the only company that put out a mass produced fan controller, otherwise you built your own. It was not too difficult, the plans and parts were out there for all, it just required a solder gun, drilling and some other light tools. You gained total control of your fans though. Fast forward a decade (or more) to the NZXT Sentry II, all you need is a screwdriver, tape (provided) and wire management skills (or not). Not only do you get total control of your fans, you get touch screen technology, alarms, digital temperature displays and auto control. All this for less money that it cost me to build my own back then. “

Either it be a typical laptop or desktop machine, its bound to have a DVD-RW drive. Picking an optical drive when building the next computer may be as simple as sorting by price and clicking ‘Add to Cart’. The fact is, there is plenty to reconsider when buying an optical drive other than cost. Quality should be the main priority, no one wants to replace a DVD drive within a couple months due to failure. Features & software is another thing to consider and with most companies focusing on going ‘green’, you should consider that as well.”

“Incorporating a printer within a home network or a small business can be quite a task if you don’t know what you’re doing. There a number of steps to follow such as putting every computer you own on the same workgroup, allow file sharing/printer sharing, assigning an IP address to the printer, and much more. Frankly all this adds up in the time department and means wasted productivity.

Happily with all this wireless technology that we’ve been blessed with in just about every modern computer, the possibilities of setting up a single printer for the whole home/small business to use has now become even simpler to accomplish. Samsung is one of those ‘do it all’ companies and they have released the ML-2525W monochrome laser printer with built-in wireless connectivity and claim to have everyone utilizing the printer wirelessly down to a ‘stress-free installation’.

Read on to see if this $149.99USD (on sale for $99USD @ Newegg) laser printer is worth the consideration.”
