Lian Li launches Tyr PC-X1000 midi-tower case

Lian-Li Industrial Co. Ltd Ltd has launched the the Tyr PC-X1000 chassis designed as a stylish midi-tower chassis. The Tyr PC-X1000 follows in the prestigious footsteps of its predecessors, namely the PC-X500 and the PC-X2000. Both of a controversial design with side mounted ODD bays. The PC-X1000 however has three traditional front mounted ODD bays as well as three front mounted 140mm fans down the front of the case.
Western Digital gets 2TB drive ready

Following on from Hitachi who has just launched their 2TB hard drive, Western Digital should start shipping the RE3 fairly soon. If your not familiar with the RE3, it’s a RAID version of a SATA II hard drive and compliments 32MB of cache and an 8.7mb seek time.
