Spring has truly sprung with an all-new series of video adventures featuring a much-loved farmyard favourite from the multi-award winning Aardman Animations. And, the great news is, they are free and exclusive to those with a Nintendo 3DS handheld gaming system.

Whether you are new to the console, were one of those who scooped one up when they first arrived last year, or were lucky enough to receive one of the fantastic Nintendo 3DS bundles for Christmas, you may be interested to hear that 15 new and exclusive 3D episodes of Shaun the Sheep are heading to it thanks to the great Nintendo Video feature.

These free 3D videos form part of a special partnership between Nintendo and Aardman Animations – the creators of classic movies like Chicken Run and Wallace & Gromit in The Curse of the Were-Rabbit – and feature characters that include Shaun the Sheep, as well as Timmy, Bitzer, the Farmer and the rest of the friendly flock. In the first episode, some of the gang are enjoying the great outdoors and trying to have a relaxing picnic. But will they be able to with the Farmer’s fishing trip in the very next field?

A new Shaun the Sheep tale will be made available every week for 15 weeks, allowing fans to see the series as it’s never been seen before thanks to the Nintendo 3DS. All you need to do is make sure you have the free Nintendo Video application installed on your console, which can be downloaded free from the Nintendo eShop, then just activate the SpotPass feature. Whenever your Nintendo 3DS is connected to the internet via Wi-Fi, you’ll be able to download a brand new episode every time one is made available – even if your Nintendo 3DS is in sleep mode.

As there are now thousands of public Wi-Fi hotspots across Europe, you should be able to get hold of these exclusive videos even while you’re out and about. And as Nintendo Video also offers a wide range of music videos, exclusive comedy, animation and action shows for the Nintendo 3DS, there are plenty of other ways it can keep you entertained in 2D and 3D. These clips can be easily downloaded provided you have SpotPass activated and access to Wi-Fi, but as each of the videos don’t stay around for too long – you won’t want to wait too long or you might just miss them!

It's official, GAME has entered administration and we'll shortly be seeing high street store closures as well as a rise in unemployment rates. However if they find a buyer who wants to take on £180m debt, they might be alright.

It’s official, GAME has entered administration and we’ll shortly be seeing high street store closures as well as a rise in unemployment rates. However if they find a buyer who wants to take on £180m debt, they might be alright.

The struggling retailer GAME has officially entered administration after no buyer was found, to take on the mass amount of debt the company has managed to accumulate. It’s being reported that out of the 609 UK stores, 277 of them will close with immediate effect meaning that over 2000 employees will be made redundant by the end of the week.

If you visit the GAME website, you’ll just be greeted with the following message:

So, anyone who has purchased items recently, no refunds or exchanges will be able to take place “unless your item is faulty or not fit for purpose.”

The company owes a staggering amount, which includes £85 million to a fair few banks and another £95 million to suppliers. So with a debt equating to £180 million it’s been quite hard to find someone to take on that much debt.

Despite the debt, and no buyers interested, now that the company is in administration a few companies appear to be interested including state-owned bank RBS, American retailer GameStop and OpCapita group, which owns Comet.

With another 400 stores facing closure, a total of 6000 jobs could be under threat if the remaining stores are closed.

Will you miss GAME? Let us know in the comments below.

Thousands of student details have accidentally been released as part of a mass email distribution, following a blunder by staff, reports the Telegraph.

The email addresses of the students were sent out as an attachment to an email which prompted students to complete their grant application forms.

Student Loans Company has called it ‘an administrative error’ and unsurprisingly were quick to apologise on their website. “The integrity and security of student accounts and the protection of personal information is vital to us and we apologise to all of the students involved.”

A statement released by SFL read:

“We are sorry that a number of student email addresses have been included in an email which has been sent to other customers. The integrity and security of student accounts and the protection of personal information is vital to us and we apologise to all of the students involved.”

According to the SLC, all those students with their details leaked have been contacted, hopefully not in a mass email this time.

EA’s UK boss Keith Ramsdale spoke out at the Westminster Media Forum recently, in support of GAME, after it was revealed that GAME has gone into administration.

This news is most likely of no shock to anyone who has been following the recent reports regarding GAME’s financial and stocking situation.

The company, who declared that it would be going into administration after the company decided to take itself off of the stock market, will apparently “rise from the flames” according the EA UK boss Keith Ramsdale.

At the Westminster Media Forum EA pointed out that even though they failed to renew any previous deals with GAME because of credit issues, they do hope to see GAME reborn. Ramsdale stated that “GAME is full of good people, it’s a good store, I just think they need a different approach and I’ll think they’ll have one.”

Is GAME a good store? We just don’t see how this will affect hardly anyone, seen as though you can get everything that GAME sell for a much lower price online. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.

A very odd, yet intriguing, initiative to turn homeless people into 4G WiFi hotspots has come under scrutiny, but the marketing firm behind it has defended the project saying that they’re not selling anything and it does appear that it would benefit the homeless people who are a part of it.

The project, initially designed to provide fast 4G internet access to people visiting the US conference SXSW, would turn homeless people into WiFi hotspots by giving them mi-fi devices and T-shirts stating that they are a hotspot.

Once people connect to the hotspot, any money that the user pays for the internet connection goes directly to the homeless person they’re connecting to.

BBH Labs, the company behind the project defended their idea saying:

“Obviously, there’s an insane amount of chatter about this, which although certainly villianizes us, in many ways is very good for the homeless people we’re trying to help: homelessness is actually a subject being discussed at SXSW and these people are no longer invisible.”

Despite what sounds like some sort of ulterior motive, the company insists that it is purely an altruistic initiative and it made no money out of it.

Despite their best efforts, it now appears that the project has been axed, however it doesn’t sound like it would harm anyone and everyone would get something out of it so we don’t see the problem.

Channel 4 Chief Executive David Abraham has just announced that they’ll be launching a brand new channel called “4Seven”, which will be a varient of Channel 4 and will include social media buzz in the new channel’s schedule.

Channel 4Seven will launch later in the year and the content shown will be content that is “creating noise” amongst commentators, bloggers, Twitter and Facebook.

Based on what this channel has to offer, we see it becoming fairly popular amongst the younger generation because they are, after all, the ones who mainly use social networking. It could potentially become a channel where only the programmes that you want to watch are shown.

However, the “noisiest bits” of television aren’t always the best bits so there will have to be quite a lot of planning to make this channel a success.

For those of you haven’t heard, Joseph Kony is a man from Uganda, Africa. However, he’s an evil mass-murdering African military leader who has been abducting children, to turn the boys into soldiers and the girls into sex slaves, for almost the past 30 years.

He’s the leader of the Lord’s Resistance Army and his killers are responsible for abducting more than 30,000 children from their families. Once they’ve been abducted, they’re forced to murder their parents and become child soldiers.

A video, produced by the humanitarian group Invisible Children, has been circulating around the internet since March 5th. The 30-minute movie shows the violence and distress that is inflicted upon the families and children. It also the beginning of something that could bring Kony to justice for his crimes against the thousands of children and families that have been forced to join his army.

Filmmaker Jason Russel explains that less than one per cent of the world have even heard of Joseph Kony, however his mission and ours is to change that.

The main aim of the social media campaign is to make Joseph Kony famous so that everyone knows about him and his crimes against humanity.

“The world would know about his crimes and they would watch the trial play out on an international level, seeing a man face justice who got away with abducting children, raping little girls, and mutilating people’s faces for 26 years,” says Russell.

Thanks to the efforts of Russell and Invisible Children, the US government last year committed 100 military advisors to join the Ugandan army to help train and co-ordinate Kony’s capture.

But that support could be withdrawn at any moment if public opinion does not keep decision-makers committed.

April 20th is said to be the day for people to take action, with supporters taking to their cities and putting up “hundreds of thousands of posters demanding justice”.

The YouTube video, which last night had only 10,000 views, now has over 400,000 views and has captured the attention of the world.

If you want to find out more about how to be apart of this campaign, you can view the video below or you can follow Invisible Children on Twitter by clicking here.

It has now been revealed that LulzSec “Leader”, Hector Xavier Monsegur, has been working with the FBI, as an informant, for the last nine months after his own arrest in August last year.

The FBI outed the infamous hacker, who was known as ‘Sabu’ in his hacking days, and have said that he has been working as a government informant and has been assisting the FBI in bringing charges to his alleged colleagues.

A report quoted that an official, who assisted in capturing Sabu, said, “It was because of his kids. He didn’t want to go away to prison and leave them. That’s how we got him.”

Members of the infamous hacking group are said to be scattered around the whole world, with two hackers coming from the UK, two from Ireland and also one from Chigago, US.

LulzSec are responsible for hacking companies such as Sony and News International, as well as government organisations including the FBI and CIA.

With the range of mobile phones we tend to see available in stores and on advertisements these days, it is easy to think that purchasing a sophisticated new mobile device will be a very expensive experience. Indeed, in most cases, the smart phones that are popular these days do tend to be more expensive than mobile phones were only a few short years ago. However, it is still also possible to find smart phones for affordable prices, and the range of things that they can do is extremely impressive. Here are a few of the top budget phones available from popular provider O2.

Samsung Galaxy S II – Seen as one of the closest competitors to the iPhone, in terms of structural and functional similarities, the Samsung Galaxy S II is an extremely impressive device at a price that is a bit more affordable than some similar counterparts. Depending on the number of minutes and texts you plan on using, this mobile phone can be anywhere from 0 to £149.99 on your Pay Monthly plan. The lower range of this price range can be extremely manageable, and with it you will get a sleek touch phone device featuring an Android 2.3 operating system, excellent Internet access, and a fantastic camera and video camera.

iPhone 4 – Thanks to the introduction of the 4S, the iPhone 4 has come down somewhat in price, and is now available at anywhere from 0 to £169.99 on your Pay Monthly plan from O2. Granted, the phone is still more expensive than a number of other smart phone options, but it is also one of, if not the highest functioning phone on the market, and has an excellent track record. The only noticeable disadvantage as compared to the 4S is the lack of “Siri,” Apple’s advanced voice control system.

BlackBerry Bold 9790 – If you are more interested in a BlackBerry device than a full touch screen smart phone, then this is an excellent one to consider – particularly if you are working with a budget. The price is 0 to £79.99 on the Pay Monthly plan, and the phone is one of the most advanced BlackBerries on the market. This particular mobile device operates on the BlackBerry 7 operating system, allowing it high web browsing capability and fast speeds, and is particularly noteworthy for its physical build, which is thinner and more manageable than many other BlackBerry devices. This phone has also been noted for its very clear display as compared to similar devices.
