Xigmatek Dragoon and Cuirassier Memory Heat Spreaders
Published in Cooling, Reviews | Written by Andrew
Memory cooling is one of those things that most people leave untouched. There may be several reasons for this: the foremost being that the stock heat spreaders on most memory modules will be sufficient for most user’s needs. But occasionally, there will of course be users who need to push their memory to the limit – particularly overclockers and gaming enthusiasts. These users will therein need some hardcore cooling for their precious RAM. With that in mind I introduce you to the Xigmatek Dragoon and Cuirassier heat spreaders.

HIS ATI Radeon HD4770 Graphics Card Review
Published in Graphics Cards, Reviews | Written by Rhys
The Graphics Card market is one which has taken some real beatings in the past year with the economic crisis. Instead of blowing your pay cheque as soon as it lands in your hand, many people are being more cautious about their purchases, making sure it’s not money wasted and that you’ve got the best performance for your hard earned cash. This is great for review websites like us, but for ATI and Nvidia it’s a very different story. Instead of taking a step forward in developing a bigger, better and usually more expensive card, which is normally the case, they’ve taken a leap backwards to provide for the ever-increasing ‘budget market’.

ASUS P6T SE X58 i7 Motherboard Review
Published in Motherboards, Reviews | Written by Rhys
One of the most popular X58 motherboard which supports the i7 processor series is the ASUS P6T board. In many reviews and tests it has delivered outstanding performance and has proven to be a favourite amongst overclockers. ASUS immediately became aware of this success and developed the ASUS P6T SE (Second Edition). The SE was designed to be a cheaper alternative to the original P6T and was made possible by removing SLI support (so CrossFire only), downgrading the capacitors and removing a couple of needless features. Today we hope to find out if the £25 price difference between the P6T SE and its elder brother is money worth saving. Let’s see how the sibling performs…
OCZ 6GB DDR3 PC3-12800 Platinum Low-Voltage Triple Channel
Published in Memory, Reviews | Written by Rhys
Here at Tech-Reviews we’ve unfortunately never had the chance to review any desktop memory kits. However, whilst spec’ing up the components for our new i7 test rig an email suddenly dropped in my inbox from OCZ as they wanted to send us some OCZ Platinum DDR3 memory for review. After taking a look at the specifications and features of the memory, it seemed to be the perfect kit for an i7 rig – their website confirmed this with it stated that they’re designed and optimized specifically for i7 processors.
Boasting speeds of 1600 MHz, low voltage requirements and very good latencies, these DDR3 memory sticks certainly look good on paper. So I welcome you to Tech-Reviews’ first memory review where we hope to find out if this DDR3 OCZ Platinum memory kit is up to scratch.

However, recently, Thermaltake has released a new series of cases called ‘Element’ which is more so designed at the ‘professional’ segment of the PC industry.
Today we have the Thermaltake Element S for review which seems to be a curvier and sleeker version of the Element T we reviewed not so long ago. Can it live up to the standards set by this case though? Only one way to find out, introducing the Thermaltake Element S VK60001W2Z…

Antec Nine Hundred Two Gaming Case
Published in Cases, Reviews | Written by Richard
The Antec Nine Hundred Two is a new, revamped version of the Nine Hundred. The original Nine Hundred was a great case but it wasn’t perfect. Antec have since looked at how they can make the case even better and have then implemented these improvements into the Nine Hundred Two. This means that the Nine Hundred Two has removable dust filters, external fan controllers (rather than internal) and the inside of the case has been painted black – in a similar fashion to the Antec Twelve Hundred. These improvements are just a few of the added extras. So has Antec managed to create the perfect gaming case this time round? Let’s take a look…
