Apple have sold three million new iPads in first three days

TweetApple has recently announced the opening weekend sales figures for the new iPad, which went on sale on Friday. Apple remained very secretive for most of Monday morning, however they revealed that a staggering 3 million new iPads had been shifted, in just three days, later that day.
Marketing boss Phil Schiller was the one to make the announcement, saying: “The new iPad is a blockbuster with three million sold – the strongest iPad launch yet.”
“Customers are loving the incredible new features of iPad, including the stunning Retina display, and we can’t wait to get it into the hands of even more customers around the world this Friday.”
If you thought that the three million figure sounded impressive, remember that was just the figure for the 11 countries it launched in. Just wait until the new iPad goes on sale in another 25 countries, including Ireland, Italy, Spain and Mexico, and we should see some more crazy figures!
