Apple iPad 3 camera and screen designs leaked

The Apple iPad 3 has been the centre of attention in the rumour mill these past few months, and thanks to some recent leaks we can take a look at what might be heading our way very soon.

The leaks claim that the new iPad will sport an improved battery, which, if the other two claims of a new camera and Retina display are anything to go by, makes sense really.

However, with the recent claims, there’s a slight downside. The iPad 3 will apparently be slightly thicker, only about 1mm though, to accommodate the improved battery, Retina display and larger storage option of 128GB.

The Retina display is probably the most talked about feature though with a much higher resolution than the current 1024 x 768 display.

“The new display is capable of greater resolution than the current iPad, with more pixels on its screen than some high- definition televisions. The pixels are small enough to make the images look like printed material. Videos begin playing almost instantly because of the additional graphics processing.”

An A6 quad-core CPU should also be making its way to the Apple iPad 3. We’re not sure how it’s going to affect performance, but for users who record HD video and edit using the iMovie iOS app, it’s definitely going to help with performance in that area.

What are you hoping to see on the new iPad? Let us know in the comments section below!
