Following the very successful launch of the Apple iPhone 4S a few weeks ago, which saw sales of over 4 million handsets within the first three days, many are reporting battery issues on their brand new iDevices.
The cause of the problem is being blamed on the iPhone 4S’ iOS 5 Time Zone settings, which is causing an unusually fast drain on their handset’s batteries.
The Time Zone settings bug is causing the system to repeatedly access Apple servers, however their is a fix.
To fix the battery draining problem, simply visit Settings > Location Services > System Services > Change “Setting Time Zone” to off
If you use this method to fix the problem though, your iPhone will no longer set its own time zone when you travel, but in the long run this won’t affect many iPhone customers too much.
