Once you attempt to fix one problem, another one usually appears. That’s what seems to be happening with Apple’s latest device, the iPhone 4S, with Apple been inundated with reports of the iPhone 4S not reading the micro-SIM, therefore meaning that the phone is unusable. This news comes just a few weeks after the whole issue with battery life on the iPhone 4S.

Users have been reporting recently that the Apple iPhone 4S has been unable to read their micro-SIMs, which therefore means that the phone was unusable, unless of course you don’t need a warranty and have jailbroken your device.

The thread that was home to over 200 posts and 30,000 views suggests that this problem will soon be a worldwide one. Apparently the iPhone will work fine one minute and then gets slightly warmer, with it eventually refusing to read any micro-SIM then inserted into the device.

Some of the more technical minded people are suggesting that it could be an issue with the iPhone 4S’ SIM-card reader’s circuitry.

Unfortunately, the iPhone 4S seems to be causing more problems than any other iOS device to date with Siri causing hassle, the battery-life being poor and also issues with updating iOS.
