Apple fans from around the world joined together and paid their respects to the former Apple CEO last night after he passed away from his long-term battle with pancreatic cancer, aged 56.

Many laid floral gifts and apples alongside burning candles outside various Apple stores in major cities, whilst paying their respect and celebrating his contributions to the world of tech.

A 19-year-old designer, Jonathan Mak Long, from Hong Kong, was the genius behind the touching tribute. It was dubbed ‘Thanks Steve’; the image is a depiction of the Apple logo, but Jobs’ silhouette replaces the iconic bite mark.

Many people took to Twitter to pay their respect also, some of these included Barack Obama, Richard Branson, Peter Jones (Dragon’s Den) and the Spotify team.
