Now, it’s no suprise really that Apple seem to be making one hell of a big deal out of the iPhone event happening on 4th October, who wouldn’t?! So whilst the event is happening live at the Apple campus in Cupertino, it will be streamed live to the Covent Garden Apple Store in London as well.
This isn’t really a new concept, Apple have streamed a keynote to other countries before, but it’s the first time that an Apple Store has been the venue.
Here’s a copy of the message that was sent to Apple staff at Covent Garden.
“Hello Team,
As we begin to start a very exciting quarter in Apple Retail, I am pleased to let you know that our Covent Garden Store will be hosting a keynote streaming event next Tuesday 4th October. This event will be a press only event and currently we have no further details on what will be presented. The store will be closing at 3.30pm to accommodate this.
This is a really exciting event for our store and we are passionate about delivering an outstanding Covent Garden experience.”
This definitely suggests that this years iPhone event is going to be quite crazy and exciting if Apple are streaming the event across the pond to one of their highest performing stores as well as closing it at 3:30pm instead of the usual 9pm.
