iCloud is Apple’s brand new service that allows you to backup your iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad to the cloud, wirelessly. It’s finally landed here in the UK and brings a whole new way of viewing and managing your media, emails, contacts and photos.

iCloud has now arrived for all of us here in the UK, it was first made available in the US , but now users in Australia, Canada and the UK can play around with the new services. The new iTunes in the cloud service will certainly make many people’s lives much easier. Now, when you delete a movie, TV show, book or song, you’ll still be able to access and download it again for free thanks to the new service, therefore making accidental deletes a thing of the past! Well, in iTunes at least…

You’ll also be able to download a film you bought on your iPhone, on your Mac or PC as well. To download your already purchased content, you just click the iCloud icon and it will begin downloading from Apple’s servers.

Unfortunately, the iTunes Match service that allows you to store your entire iTunes library using iCloud is still only available to US users. However, Apple recently confirmed that the service will be rolled out here by the end of the year.

The iTunes Match service will cost an annual fee though; pricing for the UK will most likely be released in the coming months.
