BlackBerry BBX was unveiled at BlackBerry DevCon and many have been very excited about the new updated software. As well as the announced features, there was the rumour that BBX would feature Android compatibility, and that has now been proven in a video posted by German website MacBerry.

The video shows a hands-on experience with an updated BlackBerry PlayBook running version 2.0 of the PlayBook OS. The video shows that the user is able to access Android apps and run them perfectly.

When BBX was unveiled, most of the conference contained technical presentations of the architecture of BlackBerry BBX rather than actual demos. However, there have been some tantalising glimpses into what BBX will be like once released.

This video shows the Amazon Kindle app for Android and the Android WordPress app all working smoothly and without any hitches.
