Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 midnight release

Gaming, News

As you all should know by now, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is set to be released worldwide at midnight tonight (8/11/11). This news comes just a few weeks after the hugely successful launch of rival war game Battlefield 3.

Modern Warfare has been criticised by some for its plot-lines of sometimes questionable tact and tase, but the first person shooter, created by Activision, is set to be an instant hit among gamers around the world.

We’ve seen a few leaks regarding Modern Warfare 3 recently, with leaked sections of gameplay footage being the most recent.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will feature levels set in places such as New York, London, Paris and Berlin to provide that even higher level of realism.

With the game set to launch at midnight tonight UK retailers GAME and Gamestation have confirmed that they are opening 574 retail outlets between them at midnight.

The flagship GAME store on London’s Oxford Street will see military abseilers deliver the first copies of the game.
