Dell has brought out two new CULV notebooks, and they’ve got bigger, they are now available sized 14 or 15 inches.

Compared to their smaller brother, the ultraportable 11z and most other CULV notebooks they are competely different, the 14z and 15z  feature optical drives which make them thicker than most other notebook available on the market.

But the DVD drive isn’t all else that’s offered, you can get them with a six-cell or even nince-cell battery and they’re also reasonably priced. Specs wise, they should include Intel’s new CULV dual-cores, the SU4100 at 1.3GHz and SU7300, also at 1.3GHz but with more cache.

For storage there are options ranging between 160GB to a 7200rpm 500GB drive. Discrete Radeon HD4330 graphics are also available on either model.

These new Inspirons will be configurable so you can create the ideal spec for your budget and needs, we also expect Dell to include a matte screen. Starting prices are expected at $599 for the 15z and $649 for the 14z.
