Dual monitors are always useful on a desktop computer, allowing you to have more windows open at once than you could on just one screen, now a laptop has been shown off that will allow dual screens on the move.

Know as the Spacebook, it is being produced by Alaska-based technology firm gScreen and will allow users to have dual screens wherever they are. Of course the prospect of trying to use dual screens on public transport is rather worrying.

The gScreen will feature two 15.4 screens that are capable of sliding away to occupy the space of a single screen. The founder of gScreen has said that Spacebooks should be available for purchase on Amazon by December. The final modifications are still being made before release.

People used to carrying around laptops bigger than 17” shouldn’t have any problems carrying this, but for others it may be a struggle. We also expect the battery life to be rather short. The price is estimated at £1,835.
