Facebook is being sued by the sports site RootZoo, which is claiming that Facebook has charged it for more clicks than it actually recieved.

RootZoo had adverts on Facebook from November 2007 to June 2008, it is now saying that it has been overcharged for its ads. The analytics programs Rootzoo use show that on one day it recieved 300 clicks from adverts placed on Facebook, but was charged by Facebook for a total of 804 clicks.

Facebook was then contacted by Rootzoo asking for its log files and a refund, however Facebook refused to supply either. Facebook claims that the lawsuit is "unecessary and baseless".

Although this doesn’t appear to be an isolated case. Other advertisers with ads on Facebook have compained about similar problems on a variety of forums. However facebook denied these claims, saying that an isolated bug in an ISP toolbar was to blame.

Things could become rather problematic for Facebook if other advertisers decided to go the same way as RootZoo.
