Foggy future for Cloud Computing
Rhys - June 30th, 2011 11:48 AM
A survey carried out by Rise, an IT service provider has found that most users are still unsure of the real advantages of Cloud Computing.
One of the greatest concerns was where the data is being stored, 64% of the users who were surveyed said this worried them. More fears surrounded data loss and security (especially with all the recent hacking attacks).
More than 91% of businesses feel more educating is needed about the benefits of cloud computing. Furthermore, more than half can’t see any benefits at all over existing technologies.
Director of Rise, Steve Holford has said Cloud still remains something to be approached with caution and that further education is needed.
