Game start selling off games at ultra-low prices

    Matt - March 9th, 2012 2:41 PM

Amidst the mass amount of companies not renewing deals with Game, they have started selling off titles in an attempt to not lose any more money around the time that they would have been stocking Mass Effect 3.

The “spring clean” sees some titles being reduced to as little as £2.98, whilst a PS3 and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations package is priced at just £99.98.

Users on Twitter have been posting pictures of the games they have already picked up, with one user questioning the pricing of the PS3 and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations package because he thought it was a mis-pricing.

All of this madness has stemmed from the recent events in which Game has failed to secure new deals with Capcom, Nintendo and EA, and consequently Game might not even exist this time next year because of it.

“There is a real risk that GAME’s directors will pull the plug because they can’t be sure that the company can survive through the next trading season, and then insolvency becomes inevitable.”

With The Royal Bank of Scotland being one of Game’s main backers, there are apparently concerns from sources within bank regarding Game’s current financial situation.

It has been said that Game are set to lose £2.5 million just because of the disagreement with EA, let alone the deals with Capcom and Nintendo.
