The rumour that the Earth is set to be destroyed by an asteroid impact between 15th-28th September 2015 bears no scientific proof according to NASA, who were forced to issue a statement after Reverand Efrain Rodriguez was told of a prophesy that would bring “wanton destruction to the Atlantic and Gulf coasts”.

Reverand Efrain Rodriguez was told of this prophesy by the big guy up in the clouds, otherwise known as God.

As well as the Atlantic and Gulf coasts of the United States, Mexico, Central America and South America would also be destroyed by the world-ending asteroid impact.

NASA have gone on record to dismiss the rumours that the US governments was covering-up the news to prevent wide-spread panic.

Paul Chodas, manager of NASA’s Near-Earth Object office, said in a recent statement:

“There is no scientific basis — not one shred of evidence — that an asteroid or any other celestial object will impact Earth on those dates.”

Asteroid impacts are fairly common, and if we were going to be destroyed by some sort of world-destroying impact then I’m pretty sure that we’d know about it. Something that disastrous wouldn’t be able to be covered up, even if the US government wanted to keep it a secret.

What do you all reckon? Are we all going to be destroyed next month? I’ve lost count of the amount of times we’ve supposed to have been hit by a world-destroying asteroid…
