Google+ is “pathetic afterthought” according to Google engineer

Steve Yegge, a Google engineer, has publicly ranted about the social network to all of his Google+ followers. Surely he knows how to post to a certain circle and not every single one of his followers?!
With Google+ already struggling, this is the last thing they wanted, one of their own publicly humiliating and ranting about their product.
Steve Yegge, the engineer who made the mistake, has confirmed that Google are not happy with their attempt to break in to the social network market.
In his post, he also said, “Google+ is a knee-jerk reaction, a study in short-term thinking, predicated on the incorrect notion that Facebook is successful because they built a great product. But that’s not why they are successful. Facebook is successful because they built an entire constellation of products by allowing other people to do the work.”
After also describing the the service as “a pathetic afterthought” Yegge will presumably be having a good telling off by Google bosses.
