Eric Schmidt, Google Chairman, has just announced that the company won’t be favouring Motorola after their recent buyout of Motorola Mobility. This news comes after Google, the people behind the hugely popular Android OS, purchased Motorola a few months ago.
Schmidt made it very clear that Motorola would not be given preferential treatment in terms of Android development, and would be run independently from Google, so that it will not violate the openness of Android.
Schmidt’s words during a visit to South Korea were seen as reassurance to those pushing its Android OS such as HTC and Samsung.
Which OS do you prefer, Android or iOS? Let us know in the comments section below.
