    Great budget smartphones from o2

    Rhys - February 28th, 2012 10:15 PM

With the range of mobile phones we tend to see available in stores and on advertisements these days, it is easy to think that purchasing a sophisticated new mobile device will be a very expensive experience. Indeed, in most cases, the smart phones that are popular these days do tend to be more expensive than mobile phones were only a few short years ago. However, it is still also possible to find smart phones for affordable prices, and the range of things that they can do is extremely impressive. Here are a few of the top budget phones available from popular provider O2.

  • Samsung Galaxy S II – Seen as one of the closest competitors to the iPhone, in terms of structural and functional similarities, the Samsung Galaxy S II is an extremely impressive device at a price that is a bit more affordable than some similar counterparts. Depending on the number of minutes and texts you plan on using, this mobile phone can be anywhere from 0 to £149.99 on your Pay Monthly plan. The lower range of this price range can be extremely manageable, and with it you will get a sleek touch phone device featuring an Android 2.3 operating system, excellent Internet access, and a fantastic camera and video camera.
  • iPhone 4 – Thanks to the introduction of the 4S, the iPhone 4 has come down somewhat in price, and is now available at anywhere from 0 to £169.99 on your Pay Monthly plan from O2. Granted, the phone is still more expensive than a number of other smart phone options, but it is also one of, if not the highest functioning phone on the market, and has an excellent track record. The only noticeable disadvantage as compared to the 4S is the lack of “Siri,” Apple’s advanced voice control system.
  • BlackBerry Bold 9790 – If you are more interested in a BlackBerry device than a full touch screen smart phone, then this is an excellent one to consider – particularly if you are working with a budget. The price is 0 to £79.99 on the Pay Monthly plan, and the phone is one of the most advanced BlackBerries on the market. This particular mobile device operates on the BlackBerry 7 operating system, allowing it high web browsing capability and fast speeds, and is particularly noteworthy for its physical build, which is thinner and more manageable than many other BlackBerry devices. This phone has also been noted for its very clear display as compared to similar devices.
