Record sales, of 13.2 millions smartphones in the past three months, have been reported by smartphone manufacturer HTC. These figures were most likely fuelled by the hugely popular HTC Sensation and the introduction of Beats audio technology in HTC smartphones.
When compared with the Q3 of 2010, these figures mark a 93 percent increase for HTC’s sales.
Thanks to the 13.2 million devices that have been sold, this has taken HTC to a record post tax profit of NT$18.68 billion (£391 million).
“HTC’s diverse product offerings, expanded distribution network and growing global brand recognition, have helped the company deliver a quarterly revenue of NT$135.82bn in the third quarter of 2011, resulting in after-tax earnings of NT$18.68bn and EPS of NT$22.07,” an official statement from HTC read.
