IE9 Beta Preview And Screenshots

Microsoft have always been in the shadows when it comes to web browsers. With IE6 struggling to cope with modern websites, and IE7 and IE8 becoming lost in the features offered by Firefox and Chrome, it’s odd to see Microsoft upping their game.
However, with the launch of IE9, the browser wars is no longer between just Google and Mozilla. Microsoft, two days ago launched the beta of Internet Explorer 9 and things are certainly looking good for the giant.
The browser has been redesigned to become very minimalistic. The address bar has been combined with the search box and all the icons and tabs have been de-cluttered and relocated.
But IE9′s biggest break through is the inclusion of HTML5, CSS3 and improved Javascript technology. This will enable the future of websites to come forward, with improved usability and styling. Although currently HTML 5 is still not completely functional to meet the current web standards, so it’ll be a while until more websites start making use of it.
I still wouldn’t call it game over for Firefox and Chrome, it is a breakthrough for Microsoft, but as the web standards become more functional, no doubt Mozilla and Google will be back with better browsers.
