As you all know, iOS 5 was released yesterday and features a range of new features including Notifications, iMessage, Reminders and updates to the camera application. However, many were left staring at blank screens due to the ‘An internal error occurred’ error message popping up during the upgrade process.
The error in question is error number 3200, which was because of the amount of requests Apple’s servers were receiving from people upgrading their devices.
The, now infamous, error 3200 was also trending on Twitter last night, but thankfully most of the problems seemed to have been fixed by this morning.
As well as the error 3200, a few have been having other error messages.
Brian Daynes, a member of the public, said, “Have got the error message 1611. When I contacted my provider Orange, they in turn contacted Apple, and were told that the Error 1611 is a hardware fault and is in no means related to the update process of iOS 5.”
“On being told this Orange want to now charge me £150 for a new iPhone.”
“I am very upset over this, as I know full well that if I had not updated the phone, it would be in perfect working order today as I write this email,” he added.
