Microsoft has officially announced that a 250GB Hard Drive will be immediately available for Xbox 360 users in the North American region. A European release is also estimated to be happening fairly soon.

Rumoured to be included with the 250GB hard drive upgrade package are both a data transfer cable and a driver disk enabling users to safely and easily export all their old data to the larger drive. Although this isn’t officially confirmed, it sounds highly likely as this would be the easiest solution.

In regards to pricing, the 250GB drive can be seen listed on Amazon with a pre-order price of £74.99.
