The email service, which was launched on the same day as the iPhone, has once again gone wrong but Apple seem to be keeping the problems a secret for the moment.

MobileMe, which was launched at the same time as the iPhone, has caused huge amounts of red-faces at Apple. Now, despite angry emails from Steve Jobs about how pants the service was, it has suffered another outage.

Mail through the Web, on the iPhone, and on IMAP for use on desktop e-mail applications was down for two hours. Apple has adopted its usual stance in dealing with users. It has stuck its fingers in its ears and shouted “la la la” very loudly.
