Motorola Atrix to receive Android 2.3 update in UK

TweetWhilst we’re all getting excited about Android Ice Cream Sandwich, it’s easy to forget about all of the other Android devices waiting for their update to 2.3! The Motorola Atrix is one that’s been waiting, but the Android 2.3 update is now available for handset.
The Motorola Atrix, although it seems quite redundant now that the Atrix 2 has recently been released, can now be upgraded to Android 2.3 Gingerbread, with the over-the-air update now available for unlocked handsets.
So good news for those who have unlocked handsets, but what about those who are locked to networks such as Orange and T-Mobile?
Well, you’re going to have to wait slightly longer, perhaps around a week before the update will be available for your Motorola Atrix.
The Android 2.3 update for the Motorola Atrix has actually been out for months now if you’re in the US, however we’re always playing catch-up here in the UK so it shouldn’t be anything new to us!
There’s no news as of yet about whether the Atrix will receive an Ice Cream Sandwich, but with 2.3 only just arriving, it will be quite some time before we find out.
