Nvidia has been rather excited about the release of Batman: Arkham Asylum, the reason for this is that the game includes some impressive PhysX visuals. From what we can see from the trailer, they certainly are impressive. The game itself is extremely fun and the added PhysX visuals should make the PC version even more exciting.

The trailer shows of some PhysX action such as destructible environments, particle and debris effects, clothes and other soft materials such as curtains and banners and some volumetric fog/smoke.

We’re not sure yet what sort of hardware power you’re going to need to run the game on max settings along with PhysX, we’ve also yet to see the game without PhysX and on ATI hardware, rather than Nvidia.

The trailer is available to watch here.
