Yes, you read that correctly. The new Amazon Prime car show, featuring ex Top Gear presenters Clarkson, May and Hammond, reportedly has a budget of £160 million. That’s a bigger budget than the first Avengers movie!
The £160 million budget will be spread out across the series, which at 36 shows that’s £4.5 million per episode. If you thought some of Clarkson’s video edits on Top Gear were over the top, then you’ll be in for a treat with the trio’s new motoring show.

With such a gigantic budget it’s easy to see why the trio opted to go for Amazon, despite them being relatively new to the streaming world when compared to giants such as Netflix or Hulu.
Clarkson, May and Hammond have signed up for at least 36 episodes with Amazon, and with a 2016 airing date they have enough time and enough money to make quite possible the most epic motoring show that has ever been seen.
