President Obama leads tributes to Steve Jobs

    Matt - October 6th, 2011 11:28 AM

After the unfortunate death of the man who led the technology world into the 21st century, many paid their respects, to Steve Jobs, via social networks; Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, to name a few. Many celebrities also paid their respects with fellow leader President Barack Obama among them.

A statement from Obama was posted on the White House website.

“Michelle and I are saddened to learn of the passing of Steve Jobs. Steve was among the greatest of American innovators – brave enough to think differently, bold enough to believe he could change the world, and talented enough to do it.”

Last night, Twitter became what you could only describe as one massive obituary to the man who changed technology for the better and showed us that with hard work and determination, anything is possible.

“The world has lost a visionary. And there may be no greater tribute to Steve’s success than the fact that much of the world learned of his passing on a device he invented. Michelle and I send our thoughts and prayers to Steve’s wife Laurene, his family, and all those who loved him.”

Steve’s passing shows us that “life is short and not in your control, live it with love, and to your dreams and ideals!”
