The ongoing legal battle between Apple and Samsung just seems to keep carrying on and on. I can’t even remember when this all started it’s been so long! However, news is just in that Apple have rejected a settlement offer from Samsung.
This whole battle is concerning copyright infringement, specifically over Samsung suposadely copying Apple’s iPhone and iPad with the Samsung Galaxy Tab.
Apple already managed to get the Samsung Galaxy Tab banned in Germany as well as it being pulled from the IFA trade show shortly after the ban.
Samsung have gone a little crazy and started hitting back with counter claims by issuing lawsuits in various countries; Australia is one of those.
Samsung’s recent proposal had no basis for a settlement, according to Apple’s lawyer Steve Burley, “It is one we don’t accept and there is no surprise, the main reason we are here is to prevent the launch and maintain the status quo.”
Both Apple and Samsung are now suing each other in nine different countries with a total number of 20 cases!
