With Siri being completely unique to the iPhone 4S, many were left annoyed that they wouldn’t be able to use the new voice activated personal assistant on their older iDevices.
However, mobile developers have cracked the protocols to allow Siri to be used on all sorts of devices such as the iPad 2 or even an Android device!
Mobile developers Applidium have been working flat out to find a way around the Siri, which relies on a connection to the Apple servers for it to work properly.
Applidium managed to work out that if they found the correct code to talk to the servers, you’d be able to send a request from any device, not just the Apple iPhone 4S.
This means that unless a secure system is put in place to stop communication between Siri and non-Apple devices, then hacks could be created to enable use on the iPad 2, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and even Android devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S2 or the LG Optimus 2X.
Would you use Siri if it was available for your device? Let us know in the comments section below.
