Sony announce mouse and keyboard PS3 controllers
Matt - October 14th, 2011 5:00 PM
As you all know, you normally use a hand held controller for gaming on the PS3. Well, how about a keyboard and mouse as well? That’s exactly what Sony are planning on releasing for the PS3.
Mice and keyboards are, and have been since the beginning, the controllers of choice for PC gamers, but Sony want to bring that to the PS3 by releasing a package called the Tactical Assualt Commander 3 peripheral set, which will retail at $127 (£80).
The peripheral set will be on store shelves on November 2nd, 2011.
The package will consist of an optical righ-handed mouse and a keypad for the left hand with WASD-style keys. An easy access D-Pad also comes attached with a palm rest.
Specs for the package have not been released yet, however, the mouse will come equipped with a DPI/sensitivity toggle for a more precise aiming.
No games have yet been linked to the peripheral set, so only time will tell which games you’ll be using the Tactical Assault Commander 3 peripheral set with.
Is this a good idea? Would you buy a keyboard and mouse for your PS3? Let us know in the comments section below.
