Sony ordering key components

Various insiders from Taiwan have confirmed that Sony have been doing a spot of shopping and getting ready to build some consoles. From what we have heard they’re getting read to build at least a million consoles.
The lower cost of these components is important as it means that Sony will be able to sell the PS3 at a cheaper price. The parts Sony have ordered all appear to be key components in the new PS3 Slim. Sony’s PS3 sales have been down lately
and so the company will be hoping that the PS3 slim increases demand for the console.
This will mean that Sony will be trying to clear their inventory of PS3s before the release of the updated console, as they will be almost impossible to sell after the release.
