Sony PlayStation 3D Display UK release delayed until 2012

The 24-inch 3D gaming display from Sony, has unfortunately benn delayed because of ongoing delays.

Fans looking to purchase the Sony’s new 3D gaming display will now have to wait until 2012, instead of the pre-Christmas 2011 release date.

The 24-inch 3D display features SimualView technology allowing two users to view individually assigned content across the same 24-inch screen.

The monitor also comes with two pairs of Sony active shutter glasses.

Online retailer Amazon has this to say: “We have been informed by our supplier that there will be a delay in obtaining stock for this item and it will no longer be released in Europe in 2011,” an announcement on the site’s dedicated product page read. “If you have ordered this item from us at your order will take longer to fulfill than originally estimated. We are expecting an update in the new year.”

This news is sure to annoy UK customers seen as though the monitor has already been released in the US.
