Spotify launches ‘Private Listening’ after complaints to Facebook integration

    Rhys - September 29th, 2011 6:25 PM

Spotify is now fully integrated into Facebook and publishes the music and playlists you listen to. However, many users have complained they do not want everything they listen to being published to Facebook. So less than a week after integration, Spotify has responded quickly and launched the ‘Private Listening’ feature.

In a tweet made by Spotify, it reads “We call it “Private listening” and you can find it in the Spotify/File menu.” So now you’re ale to hide those moments of emotion or 90’s pop from being publicly broadcasted to the rest of the world.

Spotify on Facebook allows you to find out what your friends are listening to, share playlists and listen to music directly through Facebook. The integration also adds a Music tab to your profile page, which organises all your top artists, tracks, albums and playlists so your friends can lean more about your music taste.
