Tom Tom, one the best known GPS producers had launched a navigation app for the iPhone.

The app includes Tom Tom’s IQ routes technology, which pieces together the experiences of other Tom Tom users to calculate routes. It includes an enormous database of places of interest and automatic re-routing in case of a traffic jam.

The app can work in landscape or portrait and has both day and night settings. Tom Tom has said that more versions compatible with the iPod Touch and iPhone soon.

Sadly the app is available in North America only, requires OS 3.0 and costs about $100.
