Twitter Imposter Receives A Few Words From Stewart Lee (NSFW)

    Matt - June 28th, 2011 11:31 AM

WARNING: Strong Language

Stewart Lee, who despises social networking, has recently taken his anger out on someone pretending to be him on the social network site, Twitter.

Here is the statement Stewart Lee made on his official website.

“A c*** is pretending to be me on Twitter, which is annoying,” the comedian wrote on his website. “It is not possible for me to stop this c*** without joining Twitter, which I will not do.

“I will never appear on Twitter,” he went on. “I will also never pretend to be on Twitter. The fact a c*** can do this is partly why.”

The Twitter account in question, @Stewlee, no longer exists and presumably was either deleted by Twitter or the imposter decided to leave with some dignity and closed it himself.

Richard Herring, Lee’s friend and former comedy partner, said on his Twitter yesterday: “Stewart Lee is not on twitter. Anyone claiming to be him is lying. Badly.” – Link
