The latest service pack for Windows Vista (SP2) will feature Blu-Ray recording, Wi-Fi updates as well as other tweaks and bug patches.

Microsoft is approaching release date of the next service pack. SP2 is currently in RTM-Escrow phase and has been served out to selected beta testers. Vista SP2 RM-Escrow built 6002.17043.09312-1835 is rumoured to be available to participants in the beta program via Microsoft Connect. Although the beta has not been let loose yet; it’s sure to be leaked as more and more testers get their hands on the bits.

At this moment in time, it’s expected than Vista SP2 will be released for manufacturing next month (April 2009). However, an official public deadline for either the RTM or General service pack has yet to be announced.
