The price of the Xbox 360 Arcade bundle in the UK has officially been increased by Microsoft.

The increase sees the price of the Xbox 360 Arcade bundle go from £129.99 to £159.99, an increase of £30. The price increase is even more if you consider the fact that Microsoft will also no longer be including the five Xbox Live Arcade games with the bundle.

Several retailers have reported that they have received official confirmation from Microsoft, confirming some of the rumours we’ve been hearing about how Microsoft is planning on changing the selling of the Xbox 360 in the UK.

The retailers say the reason they have been given for the price rise is that Microsoft are trying to make back money they’re losing on the current pound to euro exchange rate. However Microsoft has not released an official press statement to confirm this.

We’ve also heard some rumours of an increase in the price of Xbox 360 accessories, but at this stage they’re still only rumours.
