YouTube making way for Disney movies

News, Tech

Walt Disney Studios have just agreed a deal in which YouTube will make its films available to rent on the video sharing option.

The deal includes titles from Disney, DreamWorks and Pixar, so with hundreds of different titles to choose from, it’s not certain which ones will make it onto the video sharing site, but a few have been confirmed.

The rental part of youTube was relaunched back in may with thousands of different films on offer from companies such as Sony Pictures and Universal.

Movies featured on YouTube, that are available to rent, roughly cost anywhere in between one to four dollars depending on the actual film itself.

The inclusion of Disney films is a definite feature that will insure YouTube stay up top with the likes of other digitial media rental services such as Amazon’s Vudu and Apple’s iTunes.

The deal will bring a whole range of Disney films including “Alice in Wonderland”, “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” and “Cars 2.”
