The Antec Nine Hundred Two (Interior)

Access to the inside of the case is easy, simply unscrew the two thumbscrews and remove the side panel. The black theme has continued inside the case, yet another welcomed change from the Nine Hundred.

Inside Antec Nine Hundred Two Gaming Case

The power supply is located on the bottom of the chassis – something which has become the standard in high end cases. To help reduce vibrations and noise, there are four small rubber grommets at the bottom where the power supply will be installed.

On the motherboard tray some cutouts have been made, which makes cable management simple as you can easily route the cables behind the motherboard tray.

The case includes two hard drive cages, each capable of supporting three drives, these come pre-installed in the bottom and middle locations. It would have been tricky for Antec to make the installation of the hard drives any more difficult, first you have to remove both side panels and then unscrew 8 thumbscrews, slot the hard drive and then do the 8 screws back up again. When most high end case manufactures have switched to screwless designs, it’s a shame that Antec still requires screws for nearly everything.

Antec includes a mount for another 120mm fan in the middle drive bay cage, which can be useful with the temperatures today’s modern graphics cards can reach. However for the normal user the 4 fans already installed will be more than adequate.

The placement of the two fans on the front has been well designed as cool air is sucked in over the hard drives, keeping them cool too. The fans on the front feature removable dust filters, something not seen on the Nine Hundred. These help prevent dust build up in the case, which can greatly affect air flow. The inclusion of these dust filters show that Antec clearly listen to their customer’s feedback on their products.

The back of the case features a 120mm exhaust fan, which like the rest of the fans in the case is illuminated by blue LEDs. This also has a removable dust filter.
