The Package

The Signature 650W arrives in a thick cardboard box with a lid atop and a graphical wrap around it. This style of box is much alike that of the Asus Axe Square we reviewed recently. Compared to other PSU boxes, this packaging is certainly the ‘classier’ type.

The front and sides are quite bland. No fancy digitalised graphics here or features spammed all over. Instead it’s very minimalist with the only details being the product (Signature 650W Power Supply) and the manufacturer (Antec).

Moving to the rear, the power specifications are displayed in table format. The logos for the features entailed within this PSU are also shown.

Removing the lid from the Antec Signature you can see how thick the box really is. At the top inside the box is a piece of black card with a cut-out allowing you to see a test report from this actual power supply.

The Signature 650W is located beneath the piece of black card. As you can see the unit is wrapped in a plastic bag and is thoroughly padded all round.

In terms of accessories, you are presented with:

  • UK ‘Kettle Type’ Power Cord
  • Four Black Screws
  • Informative User’s Manual with Colour Diagrams
  • Two Cable Tidies (these come already attached to the cabling on the PSU)
  • PSU Test Report

As you’re probably aware, it’s unusual having a test report with a power supply. It lists all the different checks carried out on this actual PSU and has a stamp saying whether it’s passed. A signature of the technician who checked the unit is also on display. I quite like this idea, it reassures you that your purchase has been individually checked and is fully working.
