The Cables and Connectors
All the cables come with black braiding and have had their ends shrunk tightly at the bottom to avoid the braiding from fraying.
- One ATX 20/24 Pin
- One CPU 4 Pin
- One CPU 8 Pin
- One 6/8 Pin PCI-E
- One 6 Pin PCI-E
- One Floppy
- Nine SATA
- Nine Molex
Non-Modular
The all important 20/24 pin ATX connector is braided with red stripes for easy identification from other cables.
There are two individual connectors for CPU Power. They come in both the old type (4-Pin) and the new type (8-Pin).
One PCI-E cable is physically attached – although another can be connected modularly. This cable is the 6 + 2 pin type for greater support.
In terms of peripheral power connectors, physically attached are three SATA, three Molex and one Floppy.
Modular
Altogether there are five modular cables, only three can be attached.
There is one additional PCI-E connector. This, unlike the un-modular version, is only 6-pin.
If you’ve used up the three un-modular Molex connectors don’t fret. There are another two Molex cables with three connectors on each.
The same goes for SATA. There are two more SATA cables with 3 connectors on each cable.
