Conclusion
As we discovered in the testing, the performance of the Freezer XTREME wasn’t up-to-scratch with the other CPU coolers. This unfortunately limits Arctic Cooling’s target market hugely.
However, there is still light at the end of the tunnel – well kind of. If you’re upgrading or purchasing a CPU cooler based on silence, then I’d definitely say the Arctic Cooling Freezer is a good bet on the cheap. And cheap it is… at just £34 at QuietPC.com it’s certainly a healthy purchase if silence and aesthetics is your thing.
Bottom Line: If you’re looking to game or overclock, it’s probably not a good idea to even consider this CPU cooler; if you’re main priority is aesthetics and silence, and you’re on a tight budget, sure, the Freezer XTREME is a worthy purchase.
