Asus Axe Square CPU Cooler

Installation
To setup the Asus Axe Square for an Intel socket 775 installation, it’s relatively easy. Using the four included screws, the push-pin mounting clips are screwed to the base. Once screwed into position, the mounting bars are very secure.
Now you’d think the next step of the installation would be easy – pushing the push pins into the desired holes on the motherboard. This unfortunately was very fiddly and quite possibly the most difficult to install CPU cooler I’ve ever experienced. Due to the push pins being hidden below the Heatsink, it’s very awkward. For me to install the Axe Square, I needed to remove my rear case fans and any cables which blocked access to the pins.
The worst bit is removing the cooler though, it’s nearly impossible manoeuvring your fingers under the Heatsink and then turning the clips, so much so, I actually removed my motherboard for the sake of removing the Axe Square.
If attempting to install or uninstall this cooler, save the hassle, just remove the motherboard. This should have been mentioned in the manual.
