0 Dell Vostro V131 Review

Dell are known the be the company that regularly brings out new laptops, and soon they will be releasing the Dell Vostro V131, which is both powerful and compact, and we’ve managed to get our hands on one for you guys!

The Dell Vostro V131 is a compact and sturdy 13.3-inch laptop. Housing an Intel Core i3 processor, the Dell Vostro V131 definitely has enough power to get you through a whole variety of tasks, whether they’re browsing the web, checking your email or watching a movie on the High Definition LED Display.

Specifications

Intel Core i3 Processor (2330m)

8GB RAM

500GB Hard Drive

13.3″ HD LED Display (Anti-Glare)

Windows 7 Home Proffesional

6-cell Smart Lithium Ion battery (65WHr)

Design

The main feature of the V131 is the design, it comes in at only 0.83 inches thick and weighing 1.82kg (with standard 6 cell battery and normal HDD), this means that it is extremely light to carry and can fit into your backpack/bag very easily. It has an aluminium structure and unique bezel design, which gives it a very professional and sleek look.

If we move around the outside of the laptop, it has an ethernet port, 3 USB ports, a HDMI port, 3.5mm headphone jack, display port, SD card slot and the battery plug connector.

As you can see the Dell Vostro V131 does not have an optical drive, Dell decided to remove this because they wanted the Vostro to be extremely thin and lightweight, but with technology advancing at the rate it is, optical drives will more than likely be replaced by something smaller and faster in the near future.

When you open up the laptop you are greeted with a nice looking keyboard and a standard LED display. I liked that they added a back lit keyboard, which makes typing while travelling even easier, but was slightly disappointed with the display. However, with prices starting at just £350 for the Dell Vostro V131 you can’t really go wrong.
