The Evercool Rifling Fan

Once out of the packaging it is possible to see the fan in all its glory. Finished in metallic gunmetal black it looks pretty awesome. I think that this design is far superior to the somewhat “tacky” designs of most other fans which are all about LED’s and neon colours.

The fan frame is a kind of frameless design where it follows the curvature of the fan blades. This allows Evercool to squeeze a 92mm fan into what is essentially an 80mm fan space. This is a great idea as it in theory it means greater airflow, which in turn can mean greater cooling performance.

As part of the Rifling design there are small spaces at the edge of the fan’s frame. These appear to direct the airflow with the help of some small twists on the inside edge of the fan.

The fans cable is neatly braided in a plastic mesh. This tidies up the overall look of the fan and will also help with cable management once installed.
